THE FIRST SELF-EXTINGUISHING STEEL CORD CONVEYOR BELT

Belt with Miner

In 1975 the German mining authorities implemented new safety requirements.

All underground steel cord conveyor belts had to be replaced within a specified time with self-extinguishing types as per DIN 22129.

The first conveyor belt of this type, a Phoenocord St 4000, was put into service in 1975 at the Goettelborn mine.
